The catio shelves are sturdy and wide...the cats are often on the floor boards, so I'm glad I have the nice wooden floor for them.
They are out on their shelves all the time. They even spend half the night out there and sometimes even in the rain. They find a dry place under the eaves of the house.
Nice added feature but seem a bit narrow.
We purchased add on shelves for our 3-sided enclosure to give our cats more climbing space. Our cats lounge and walk all day long on these - they love them! The quality of the cedar was top notch (no splintering wood) and they are quite sturdy!
The concept is great, quality is fantastic, but I didn’t take into account how flimsy the catio grids were, so they are quite unstable. Unless you have REALLY light cats…kittens maybe. I don’t know that they would be worth returning. May need to figure out how to use them differently. Or try to recuperate some of what I spent on them. Sooooo sad these didn’t work.
