At Habitat Haven, we design our enclosures with a focus on you and your animal(s), using only high-quality components and materials that align with our values for safe outdoor access. That’s why, if something does go wrong, we’ve got you covered with the Habitat Haven 5 Year Limited Warranty (“Limited Warranty”).
What important things should I know?
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS, WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE.
WE LIMIT THE DURATION AND REMEDIES OF ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TO THE DURATION OF THIS EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY.
SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
Our responsibility for defective goods is limited to repair or replacement as described below.
Who is covered by the Habitat Haven Limited Warranty?
The Habitat Haven Limited Warranty is personal to the consumer that originally purchased the product. It cannot be transferred to anyone else and is only applicable while you are resident in the United States or Canada.
What is the period of coverage?
The Habitat Haven Limited Warranty begins on the date that you purchased your product and continues for five (5) years. The warranty period is not extended if we repair or replace the product. We may change the availability of the Habitat Haven Limited Warranty at our discretion, but any changes will not be retroactive.
What does the Habitat Haven Limited Warranty cover?
Our Limited Warranty covers the replacement or repair of any metal cat enclosure exterior structure that has defects in material or workmanship that is not the result of normal wear and tear or a natural characteristic of the material. It does not cover catio accessories. In addition, the Limited Warranty only covers products used for their intended purposes and for which you have followed our recommended care and use information.
What isn't covered by the Habitat Haven Limited Warranty?
The following are not covered by the Habitat Haven Limited Warranty:
Normal wear and tear, including fading, stains and minor discoloration of the product;
Damage caused by natural disasters and other occurrences outside of Habitat Haven’s reasonable control, such as floods, hurricanes, earthquakes, lightning strikes;
Natural variation or characteristics in materials such as, but not limited to colors, timber grain and features, minor gaps in plywood edges, variation in batch dyes, weaving processes and odors;
Damage caused by improper use, improper cleaning treatment solutions, pet urine, or otherwise caused by your acts or omissions, or damage caused by accidentsor vandalism;
Damage caused by alterations or modifications made to the product or where the product is used in an abnormal manner or not for its intended purpose;
Damage caused by a third party product placed inside, on, or adjacent to the enclosure;
Products used for commercial purposes;
Any products sold as seconds, returns or similar, or where the defect had been drawn to the customer’s attention when it was purchased;
Issues arising from improper maintenance of the product;
ANY CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGE.
How can I make a claim for service under the Limited Warranty?
To obtain warranty service, you must first email us viahelp@HabitatHaven.com.. To process your warranty claim, we will need the following information from you:
Details of the defect;
Proof of purchase;
Clear photos of the defect; and
Clear photos of the product or ID label.
Habitat Haven will make every effort to promptly review your claim. If we determine that you are entitled to service under the Limited Warranty, we will repair or replace (as applicable) your product. If your item is discontinued or not available, we may elect to replace your original product with a similar alternative. If you live in an area to which we are unable to ship a replacement product using the Ground service of FedEx or UPS, you will be responsible for payment of shipping costs.
As stated above, the Limited Warranty applies from the date you purchase your product and will not restart from the date of any replacement or repair. The replacement or repaired product will get the benefit of the remainder of the original warranty period.
Limitation of Liability
THE REMEDIES ABOVE ARE YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES AND OUR ENTIRE LIABILITY FOR ANY BREACH OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. HABITAT HAVEN’S LIABILITY SHALL UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES EXCEED THE ACTUAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE DEFECTIVE PRODUCT, NOR SHALL WE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BE LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES OR LOSSES, WHETHER DIRECT OR INDIRECT.
