Finished western red cedar boards are great for the outdoors! Cedar is naturally rot-resistant and is a flea deterrent. The standard planks are milled 1" thick by 8" wide. Dimensional milled wood is slightly smaller than the measurements given. The surface area is sanded for a smooth look and feel.
The Staircase Cedar Three Step Kit comes with five connected milled cedar boards and three shelving brackets with wood screws to create three steps. The stair's dimensions are precisely spaced in order to fit well with our 2" by 2" Habitat Haven mesh.
This is our second catio for another cat at our house ( first fir my mom's house). Cats love them and we love them.
Two of our cats love this staircase! We placed it on the back wall of the catio providing a second way for our cats to access their hammock. They seem to really like the staircase and are on it all the time. They love being on the shelving at the front and on the sides of the enclosure as well, but because of this staircase, they have access to a different part of the catio and truly enjoy it.
