Towers are a great way to help your cat climb up or down vertically in a small amount of space. Towers are generally used against buildings, fences, or one of our enclosures.
All towers come with a cedar floor and attached cedar shelves. Towers ship fully assembled. They are three sided with a 6" lip on the third side to attach to the building. All-access openings accept tunnels, bridges, and stairs.
You are able to select both the Length (L) and Height (H) of your tower. However, all towers are 12 inches in Depth (D).
Towers will arrive fully assembled with access points/opening based on the configuration you choose.
Mounting hardware - Fasteners (Masonry Fasteners/Deck Screws and Washers) are included. Securely holds to most surfaces. Contact us if you have questions about attaching to your building or home.
If you have any concern that your cat(s) may get stuck, confused, or fall ill while inside the catio tower...have no fear! Small access hatches are available to allow you to get access to your cat that may need your assistance inside a component that is unaccessable in any other way.
Access hatches measure 10"W x 12" H are used for this purpose.
Installation:
Door Location:
The number of shelves present in a tower and the spacing between each shelf will vary based on the height of the tower.
Shelving will be aligned with any opening present on the tower for easy entry/exit.
This spacing and shelving quantity has been time tested to be the optimal configuration for cat transitions and use.
Recently installed 2 new window enclosures with an around the corner tunnel that connects the 2 windows.
We have 2 other window enclosures with tunnels that connect them together, but going around the corner of the house took a bit more planning, but happy to report that it was a great success!
Attached is a photo of a couple of our 5 cats enjoying the good life.
My cats handle it better then the ramp I used to have. My only comment is while the top end lines up perfectly with one tunnel, the bottom end has a large gap at the top of the connection to another tunnel.
The team at Habitat Haven was great to work with and very responsive. It took a few weeks to figure out what we wanted and how it would be configured, then waited a reasonable 4- 5 weeks and our modules shipped! When the pallet arrived, we could easily put together the various stairways and Tunnels. The instructions were a little generic and some of the modules weren't quite readily aligned, but these issues were easy to overcome. I wouldn't hesitate to buy again from these folks (we already have the Purrfect Cat Fence). And the proof of success was when we let our two little boys out and they raced back and forth and love it! See the pictures.
Both my cats love the cat Tunnels, stairs, and Tower I bought from Habitat Haven and had constructed for them. Basically the cat Tunnels are used like lookouts and run along the top of a 7' wooden and 6' brick wall and allows them to lie in the sun and view the world beyond. Our little female cat, who is now about 1 1/2 year old used to hop on top of my barbecue to try and see over the top of a brick wall, so to say the least she simply loves them because there was no way she could see what was on the other side, but now she can very easily. On the east side, where there is a 6' brick wall she gets to watch people come and go from a doctors office. On the south side there is a brick wall and joining wooden fence and the Tunnel run along the top of both and have stairs the led up to the cat Tunnels on either end and it overlooks our next door neighbors backyard and across from the brickwall and our back lane is a school yard with all kinds of activity to satisfy my cats interests. Great Tunnels and stairs, great lookouts for them....and the best is that they are safe and sound in their own yard...nothing gets in and nothing gets out. I also had extra fencing put above the cat Tunnels from the sister company of Habitat Haven, Purrfect Fence for that added protection. They look awesome. Thanks Habitat Haven and Purrfect Fence for that peace of mind knowing they are happy and most of all safe !!! A big shout out goes to Matt Hough for making my dream come true and designing…
My cats are using Towers and Tunnels to go from a house window box out to a Purrfect Fence enclosure. They use it 24/7, except for when it rains.
